Expect the Unexpected

We need to get our expectancy up!  God has so much in store for us that He wants to bring forth in our lives if we would only trust Him to do it.  Abraham is a great example of someone who fully trusted God and expected Him to do what He promised him.

Psalm 5:3

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Abraham met many opportunities where he had to trust God including when the Lord told him that his descendants would outnumber the stars when his wife was physically too old to bare children.  But the Word says, “he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” (Rom 4: 20-21)

Abraham expected results!  Even when the world and his own body told him it was impossible.  He had faith to believe God for the unexpected.  Can we really say that we would have had the faith and the patience to wait as long as he did and not waiver?  We live in a society today that has a microwave mentality and if we don’t get what we want when we want it we tend to start thinking of other options instead of just waiting on God.

Let’s make a decisive decision to trust in God and expect what might be unexpected to the world but is just another way that our miraculous God reveals His faithfulness to us.
